about

By Elinor Evans
Elinor Evans: clarsach; Hazel Turnbull: piano; Charlie Stewart: double bass; Pàdruig Morrison: accordion; Robbie Greg: fiddle

Elinor was particularly taken by black and white Werner Kissling image she found in the archives of a young boy herding sheep on the Isle of Lewis (1986). He looked really happy with his job, even though it was very clearly hard work. She tries to portray this in the piece, making it a bouncy pipe march to reflect the bounce he seemed to have in his step.
